What are the different types of foot orthotics?
There are many different types or brands and different levels of manufacturing.
OTS – off the shelf – generic ones that are suitable for most people and generally offer just extra support.
Semi bespoke and bespoke are usually the types that are issued with a prescriptive benefit. These types of orthoses are used in clinical assessment. Sometimes a cast may be required to be taken depending on the requirements. This will all be discussed at your appointment if the clinician feels this is the necessary treatment.
